About us
The UK Friends of The University of Auckland is a charitable trust founded on 2nd August 2001.
Its main aims are in general the "advancement and promotion of education and in particular any educational and charitable purposes connected with the University of Auckland".
Its Board generally meets twice a year in May and October in London.
Its current Trustees are:
- Mr Eric Tracey (Chair), formerly Partner, Deloitte & Touche and now a board member of Chloride and NEC and Chairman of NZ Trade & Enterprise UK Beachheads
- Dr John Buchanan , formerly CFO of BP plc and now Chairman of Smith & Nephew plc, Deputy Chairman of Vodafone plc, a board member of BHP Billiton and of AstraZeneca and Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce (UK)
- Ms Louise Chunn, Editor, Phsychologies Magazine
- Professor Sir Graeme Davies, formerly Vice-Chancellor of the University of London
- Mr Richard Dellabarca, Chief Financial Officer of Chi-X Global Inc
- Mr Graham Eklund QC, Barrister, Lincoln's Inn
